Have you ever said to yourself, 'I wish I had more time'? Or perhaps you've wished that the pace of daily life could slow.
A snow day is like a wish come true for children across New England. Their eyes will light up when they wake to see the possibilities of their imaginations exceeded by inches and multiple days without school.
For adults, however, it's easier to forget this magic. Or to look outside and already feel the aches of shoulders and low back in anticipation of the snow removal efforts to come.
What if we could look out at the snow with the same joy as a child: full of possibilities? Its white blankets like a blank page we can draw or write on. An officially sanctioned excuse to slow down and go inside.
Today, nature forces us to pause the normal routine and gives us time -- a whole day in fact --to read, rest, be with family or play with your kids. To dance, laugh, or try out a new recipe. To do some of the things that bring us joy.
Even if you're "working from home," today is a chance to do so in your favorite outfit, listen to music you haven't played in a while, and dance in your living room between emails.
