Before you grab the snow shovel and head outside, make sure you're body's ready. As you can see from the activity analysis, there's a lot more to snow shoveling than snow-covered eye-lashes and a running nose.
From what I can tell, there seems to be a dedicated snow-shoveler in each household. If that's you, you'll want to protect your body by preparing the muscles that are most vulnerable during shoveling, namely the low back and shoulders.

When you come inside after shoveling, put the tea kettle on and sit in Child's Pose until the water's ready. Warm up on the inside with a cup of chai black or herbal ginger.
